The Costume Room offer complimentary worldwide shipping on all our pieces. We ship with An Post, the Irish postal service.
Delivery is tracked and requires a signature. If An Post is unable to deliver your piece to you, they will leave a delivery notification docket for you.
The Costume Room pieces are made to order to avoid waste and deadstock, please join our wait list if you are interested in investing in one of our pieces. You will receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order has been shipped and it is on its way. If you need your piece sooner, then please send us an email info@thecostumeroom.com and we will do our very best to accommodate you with your order.
For shipments to non-EU countries the customer is responsible for all import duties, customs and local taxes. Payment is necessary to release the order from customs on arrival. Please note that we are unable to advise the amount this may be.
We cannot be held responsible for loss or damage of items while in transit.

From Ireland to the rest of the World: 5 to 10 working days depending on your countries customs procedures & postal service delivery times.

REFUNDS
We rarely receive returns due to the pure quality and craftsmanship of our pieces, it is very important to us you are 100% happy with your purchase and your shopping experience with The Costume Room. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your purchase, we will happily refund or exchange any goods returned to us within 14 days of the delivery date.
Please contact us by email at info@thecostumeroom.com with your order number to request a refund.
Only items returned to us in perfect condition with original tags; unworn, unaltered and unwashed can be refunded.
Customers are responsible for the return shipping charges, and it is always best to be sent via a tracked method and retain the proof of postage. Sadly we cannot accept responsibility for any items lost or damaged in transit to us or for any international duties and taxes.
Any returned orders from outside Europe need to be marked: "Returned Goods and No VAT or Duty Due" so that no taxes are levied.
Returns are processed within 5 working days of receipt. Please allow up to an additional 3 to 5 business days for your refund to be processed to your method of payment for the purchase price, once we have received your return.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
If you wish to exchange an item, this can be done by placing a new order and returning the unwanted item. Once we have received the returned product, the item will be refunded. Please contact info@thecostumeroom.com within 14 days of receipt of delivery to notify us of your exchange.
ORDER CANCELLATION
If you made your order in error and wish to cancel it, please contact us by email at info@thecostumeroom.com as soon as possible with your order number.
Every effort will be made to accommodate the cancellation of your order as long as it has not yet shipped.
Please note that if the item has shipped, the order cannot be cancelled.

The zero waste Linen Patchwork Puffer Coat was shortlisted for the Institute of Designers Ireland (IDI) 2021 Awards. In 2020 The Costume Room was also shortlisted in two categories with IDI, the clothing category and sustainable design.A runner up in the fashion category of Irish Country Magazine Irish Made Awards 2020, The Costume Room was also shortlisted for ICM Irish Made Awards in 2018 and in 2019.
Sinéad Roberts, designer, creator, maker, hands on with everything The Costume Room and a member of the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland, was included in the publication of the book Who's Who in Visual Art 2018-2019.The Costume Room is a proud member of Design Ireland.

Ethical, environmentally conscious gender neutral design are the core values of The Costume Room, part of the sustainable and slow fashion movement, each piece is made to order in our Dublin studio to avoid waste and deadstock.
The Costume Room’s commitment to sustainability is evident throughout all of our work from the manufacturing techniques and materials used down to The Costume Room packaging. It is the brand’s ethos to be a responsible, honest and modern company.
OUR FABRICS
Naturally with all The Costume Room pieces, we use only the highest quality materials, favouring pure, ethically produced fabrics.
We work with 100% Pure Irish Linen, Raw Organic Indigo Denim, Handwoven Donegal Tweed and 100% Natural Wool Wadding. Our textiles are 100% biodegradable, we believe these to be the environmentally considered choice.
Organic fabric is hypoallergenic and respects nature, health and working conditions.
LINEN
100% Pure Irish Linen exclusively woven for The Costume Room by Emblem Weavers, a family run business in Wexford, in the South East of Ireland.
RAW ORGANIC INDIGO DENIM
The Raw Organic Indigo Denim is made in Italy, 100% Made of GOTS* certified Organic Cotton, cultivated through methods and products with low environmental impact. The Indigo used in the dyeing phase is natural, extracted by Indigofera tinctoria plant in India. All the substances used in the production process are REACH** approved.*The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain.**REACH is a European Regulation and is an acronym for the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals. The overall aims of REACH are to: Provide a high level of protection of human health and the environment from the use of chemicals. Allow free movement of substances on the EU market.
HANDWOVEN DONEGAL TWEED
Handwoven Donegal Tweed exclusively handwoven for The Costume Room by master weaver Eddie Doherty in Ardara, County Donegal, in the northwest corner of Ireland.
QUILTING
100% Natural Wool Wadding provides superb insulation and the fibre breaths, allowing excess heat to dispense away from the body.
THE DESIGNER
The Costume Room was founded by Irish designer Sinéad Roberts in 2004. Sinéad has designed and created for theatre, marketing companies and everything in between before launching The Costume Room gender neutral sustainable brand in 2017.
Sinéad Roberts loves to design and create. Sinéad believes in supporting self-definition and creating pieces which can be worn by everyone, she strives to design pieces that rejects societal norms and provides a freedom of expression for whomever decides to wear her pieces.
The principal characteristics of Sinéad’s work are shape, form and sustainability, zero waste is always a key element in the construction of her designs. She draws inspiration from nature, clean lines, the avant-garde, art deco, popular culture and its relationship with art and design.
Sinéad Roberts is a hands on designer with an unconventional approach to fashion, her gender neutral designs celebrate inclusiveness, diversity and the human form.
