The Costume Room is a sustainable luxury clothing brand for women and men who want contemporary, bold, considered design. Based in Ballsbridge, Dublin, we design and create pieces that are made to last beyond the season. Traditional methods and innovative techniques merge to form timeless statement pieces that are uncompromising in their attention to detail. We use only the highest quality materials, favouring pure, ethically produced fabrics where we can. We use 100% Pure Irish Linen for our collars, woven exclusively in Wexford. Clean, strong silhouettes run through The Collection, set against scupltural, structured, architectural tailoring. We design for the discerning customer who appreciates quality and creativity. The Costume Room’s commitment to sustainability is evident throughout all of our work from the manufacturing techniques and materials used down to our packaging. It is the brand’s ethos to be a responsible, honest and modern company. Everything The Costume Room creates is designed and made in Ireland.
The Costume Room was founded by Irish designer Sinéad Roberts in 2004. Sinéad has designed and created for everything from theatre to marketing companies before deciding to launch her own label. She exhibited her debut fashion collection, aptly named ‘The Collection’ at Showcase Ireland 2017 and officially launched her label in April 2017 at Kevin Kavanagh Gallery in Dublin. Sinéad is a hands on designer with an unconventional approach to fashion. Her gender neutral designs are about celebrating inclusiveness and diversity. She draws inspiration from nature, clean lines, the avant-garde, art deco, popular culture and its relationship with art and design.
Sinéad Roberts is a member of the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland.
